Odissi Dance Workshop At Indic Teen Fest 2018


Kavita Dwibedi, the esteemed Odissi dancer from Spic Macay took the workshop on all three days, sharing with the students the incredible beauty of this dance form. Kavita Ma'am always says that "For Me...Dance is the Beginning of a Spiritual Journey...Dance is like a Pooja...A Meditation ...Dance is like a Celebration of Life...A Gift of God".The beauty in her dance is amazing and you cannot keep your eyes off her moves. EDM Night with Zaeden




Gateway Education and Indic Festivals curated the first edition of Indic Teen Fest at Gateway Campus, Sonipat from 8th June to 10th June, 2018. One the one hand, Gateway Education is situated at Prashant Vihar, Delhi that is highly appreciated for excellent academics and 100% placement record and Indic Academy’s mission is to preserve, protect and promote Indic civilisational identity, thought and values.

With a mission to offer learning beyond classrooms and old Education system, Indic teen fest 2018 was organised.  Along with lectures from best of the minds helping the teens to receive the best guidance and advices possible. 

Along with these session, Indic Teen Fest also organised EDM NIGHT WITH DJ ZAEDEN.

HAVE YOU MET LUV RANJAN?



Being a teenager, who don’t like-“Pyar Ka Punchnama” and “ Sonu ke Titu Ki sweety”? I hardly believe that there is would a single teen who haven't seen this movie yet. 


Teenage is a perfect age to decide the career, and choose the subject that can decide the future for life. In this age, so many teens with their parents experience the pressure in regard to the career counseling and mentoring they require, but they never get. Being a parent of a teen is equally important to nurture the child with the best tips and exposure to the outer world. Imparting the right knowledge in the right direction to the teens is very important.
Recently, Indic teen fest 2018 was organized successfully gathering 350 students giving lectures from best the minds.

ORGANIZERS of Indic Teen Fest 2018- Indic Academy & Gateway Education



From June 8th 2018 To 10 June 2018, Indic Teen Fest was organised at sonipat inviting Teens from all over the country to experience the learning beyond classrooms. It was organised with a mutual collaboration of-

Teens education have emerged with time. Today's teen are not restricted with classroom education, instead they want learning beyond old education system. 

Indic Teen Fest 2018 was a success, and next edition is about to come.








Dance Competition At Indic Teen Fest 2018




First edition of Indic Teen Fest at Gateway Campus, Sonipat from 8th June to 10th June 2018 was organized by Indic Academy and Gateway education. This teen fest was organized for teens all around the country in offering the learning beyond classrooms.

Indic Teen fest successfully gathered 350 plus students from different schools and offered lectures from 30 plus speakers like Mr. Chandrahas Halai- Mathematician, Mr. Tanuj Bhojwani- Entrepreneur, Ms. Kavita Dwibedi- Professor, and Odissi dancer, and many more with 50 plus workshops.

This fest was a smashing hit.

Apart from workshops and speakers for the students, Indic Teen Fest also have performers and Jam Sessions.

Dance Competition At Indic Teen Fest 2018 was also a USP for Students.

The Met Gala night saw amazing dance performances by the young students, the results of which were announced the next day. It also saw a special performance by Foot Loose Boys.

Cooking Workshop was Smashing At Indic Teen Fest 2018


Teens relish to eat food, whether it is a birthday, or a result day, or just a weekend, any meeting with a friend cannot be completed without a good meal. But have you ever wonder what your teen who enjoys eating food, is competent enough to cook anything as well?

I am certain, many moms will say NO. 


When girls are treated equal with boys in every field possible, then why not boys must cook in the equivalent as girls?

Keeping aside womanism, this blogs is for the teen who cherishes food, who love cooking, who don't know how to cook or want to learn cooking. 

Yes, 3 days Indic Teen Fest at Sonipat from 8th June 2018 to 10 June 2018 offer 50 plus workshops to the teens. One of the workshops that assembled many teen boys was- Cooking workshop. From baking beans, making Maggi to brilliance in Indian bread, this cooking workshop ensures it all.

This fundamental cooking course for the teen at Indic Teen Fest is excellent for students to gain confidence in the kitchen and helping others coming back home. Indic Teen Fest offers a cooking workshop to learn the basics of cooking and walk away with varied delightful and easy recipes.

Meeting Mentors And Influencers- Beneficial For Teens





Studying beyond classrooms is the new mantra for the contemporary education system. We all believe that teen nowadays is quick, and welcome new education methods to shine in life. Scoring good grades was not adequate, but gaining knowledge is much needed. Now the parents are equally aware of the new method of the education system. One of the most appreciated methods of imparting education to the teens is meeting with mentors and influencers.

INDIC TEEN FEST 2018 arranged by gateway education offered a wondrous FLUTE WORKSHOP at Sonipat between 8th June 2018- 10th June 2018. This 3-day event was for teens all over the country to give them learning beyond books. First edition of Teen Fest offered 30 plus workshops to the teens in which Flute workshop was a tremendous hit among kids.

Flute workshop was headed by Ashwani Shankar and Sanjeev Shankar. 

Ashwani Shankar and Sanjeev Shankar is the celebrated name in the Indian classical musicians. They are the young representatives of a legendary family of Benaras Gharana. They are the son prominent musician himself- Shri Daya Shankar
They have exhibited in many prestigious festivities in India along with many events that are highly comprehended among masses-

  • Baba Harballabh Sangeet Sammelan
  • Megh Mahotsav festival, Sangeet Natak Akademi Music Festival, 
  • Many classical music events at Delhi, Calcutta, Bangalore, Allahabad, Lucknow, Pune, Gangtok, Mumbai, Chennai, Ayodhya. 
  • They have performed their art forms outside India as well like at USA, France, Spain, Ireland, England, Scotland, Hungary, Slovakia, Japan, and Bangladesh. 

They have mutually received Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar of Sangeet Natak Akademi for the year 2009 for their heart touching performances at Hindustani Instrumental Music.
Indic Teen Fest at Gateway Campus, Sonipat from 8th June to 10th June 2018 offers Flute workshop for teens that focused on the significant principles of flute playing. This workshop offers enforcement, students recitals, and training sessions. 

It was a fun session. Many teens asked queries regarding the career in flute playing and having the answers from legends themselves was worthy to hear.

LIFE , CAMERA & DETERMINATION: LUV RANJAN



Luv Ranjan made headlines with his movie “ Pyar ka Punchnama” and “ Sonu ke Titu Ki sweety”. Both the movies were a commercial success.  He is from Ghaziabad district , Uttar Pradesh . He took admission in  film -making course  from Asian Academy of Film & Television. He is currently a film director , writer and a producer.  He is an alumnus with Asian Academy of Film & TV and st. Paul Academy, Ghaziabad. 



He founded his company “Luv Films” with his co-producer Ankur Garg . He is famous for his flamboyant themes and his witty writing style. He pours uniqueness in his characters which is just a replica of real life characters which amuses and finds its connections with all age groups.

According to him luck will only favour you till the time you are relentless and consistent with your effort. He prioritise on following ethical values like never ever lie to yourself and always be ready for the initial rejections in order to win the race.



First Indic teen fest first edition was at gateway campus , Sonipat from 8th June to 10th 2018. It’s main objective was to give young students a chance to meet the all eminent personalities , to give them a chance to talk to the best of the minds.
Luv Ranjan had an engaging session on topic “ Life , Camera & determination”. He talked about the nuances & challenges of film -making  . He also gave insight of Glamorous movie world on & off the camera.

TOY MAKING WORKSHOP – SUDARSHAN KHANNA


Sudarshan Khanna's was a child of  a social scientist and design educator so seeds of creativity were already inside him . He was already introduced to designing and such stuffs from an early age. 
He already knew his goal of  developing  such thing which had both qualities of social and design works.

He studied architecture , his thesis project was about school buildings and their relationship with education.  He further did his post graduation in Toy and Game Design ( Industrial design) from National Institute of Design . He later developed his interest in development projects and conducting design projects. 
He collaborated with SIRDI , an NGO involved in empowering self-help groups in rural areas . His project aimed at designing play products for collaborative play between children of 3-6 years and adults. His all play products were a huge success among teens .

The packaging had been creatively integrated which avoids misplacement of elements.
 He knows the importance of playing with natural textures thus he developed a hand – embroidered textile paly a gift product named “ Fill and feel”. This product ensures that the child has to fill , feel and guess what is inside , then open it and eat all edible fill. Such game products with natural textures is considered to be the best play therapies.
He had also introduced a game product namely, “ Friendship Grip” based on the concept of  gripping a finger. It focuses on working with aggression but with  gentleness.
Recently, Indic Teen Fest offer TOY MAKING WORKSHOP – SUDARSHAN KHANNA for teens.  It was a three days fest between 8th June 2018 to 10Th june 2018.

It’s of utmost importance for us take extra care for the safety of our children and students. We have to make a protected , safe and a healthy environment for them . 

Teen fest specialise in representing experienced team of professionals and educators . The program initiated with extra checking of every students coming to the event. They were asked to carry their existing identity card plus they were given identity card from teen fest in order to have accurate log of every student present their. The program aims at fostering communication , personality development and provides opportunities for learning beyond the classroom in order to make them confident and dynamic global citizens. 

Children need special care and attention for they are the nation’s most precious resource but needs supervision to protect themselves . Thus it’s the duty of the parents and teachers to provide protection to children and teach skills to them so that they are safe . They are prone to abduction and exploitation therefore our little extra care will be a great milestone in protecting them . 

We need to see what are the risks your child is mostly prone to.  Talk to them about their insecurities and see what help you can provide to your child.  It’s a must for parents to keep an eye on what they are doing at school and home . Ask your children to learn all emergency number in case they get in wrong situation.

Performers At Teen Fest Edition 1

First edition of Indic Teen Fest at Gateway Campus, Sonipat was organized between 8th June to 10 June 2018 embracing all the teens around the country to witness the 3 days stay beyond the comfort zone in midst of best minds from a different domain. First Edition of Teen Fest was designed to offer 50 plus activities/ workshops, motivational speeches from 30 personalities from varied specialties.

With all of the above, the teen fest also offers performances to entertain teens. These concerts were arranged in such a manner that not only savor the evening but also add so much joy to the voyage.

JAM SESSION BY DJ ZA EDEN




After all workshops, lectures, and lip-smacking food at teen Fest, the Jam session was arranged at evening for the students to enjoy the music and shake some leg with the beats by DJ Zaeden.
We all understand that teens are crazy for a Jam session, hip hop music, and rocking music. And if we have organized something for teens, then we cannot leave music behind. Keeping in mind the teens and music, the Teen fest offers Sahil Sharma aka DJ Zaeden. He is a popular name in music and a teen sensation as well. DJ Zaeden is especially known for new age Big room sounds with the classical melodic house and his eclectic production skills

2. MOODE PANTI SHOW




Standup Comedy by Anubhav Singh Bassi and harsh Gujral created a laughing aura at Teen Fest among the teens and other teachers. After so much hassle puzzle that day, this comedy night was so much needed by the teens. 


3. Dance performance By Haleem Khan





Last but not least, the last of the Teen Fest was completed by Haleem Khan, who transcends the barrier of gender in pursuit of his art.  He is a professional Kuchipudi dancer of international repute. The dance he performed was amazing and motivated many art lovers, and dance aspirants to meet him personally and get motivated. He too has a lecture session with children where he discusses the details for choosing this as a career.

All in all, the performers were the icing on the cake. Every teen at Teen Fest 2018 enjoyed every part of it.

2. CROSSROADS
(Shri Ram College of Commerce)

After IIT, Delhi Shri Ram College of Commerce score 2nd when we talk about college Fest in Delhi. It never fails to impress the students when it comes to the crowd gathering, songs, DJs, and events performances. It's a 4 days long college fest. Atif Aslam has performed in this college fest. 

3. ENGIFEST
(Delhi Technological University)

ENGIFEST is the annual cultural event of Delhi technological university. This fest organized in February every year. It is the perfect blend of technical education with creativity at peak. It is one of the oldest cultural fests that started in 1974.

4. PULSE
(All India Institute of Medical Sciences)

In the top 5 lists, pulse takes the top 4th in the list from India’s top Medical college. This college fest is a week-long event held in the month of September. So, if you are a medical student and looking for an inter medical college championship, then this college fest a must attend.

5. MECCA
Hindu College

Last but not least, Mecca fest by Hindu college is also worth to attend if you are in Delhi. This fest happens in the month of February every year. This fest is popular among many college students and attracts the largest number of students every year.

Career counselling For Teens



Most of the times, teenagers speak two contradictory things at the same time that you rarely understand how to respond to them. Recently, one of the kids in my family shares his desire of making a police commissioner or a preacher when he will turn big.  It was an odd combination that took me in the deep understanding that how about arranging a career counseling session for him.

Career counseling is the desire to confer to kids when they are kids so that they can prefer the subjects accordingly and work on accomplishing their goals respectively. 

I explored many sites online but land up at nothing fruitful. 

Happily, one of my friends shared about Teen Fest- Indic Teen Fest at Gateway Campus, Sonipat.  This Fest was organised especially for teen all around the country between 8th June to 10th June 2018.

The fest was created to offer the lectures that the education system rarely goes beyond the classrooms, but it is needed badly.

Indic Teen Fest at Gateway Campus, Sonipat has its first edition for 3 days long with 30 speakers who are best in giving the career counseling to the teens with 50+ activities.

It was a big event and gave an opportunity to the teen to explore the different career options available, they get a chance to meet qualified minds, and spend 3 days out from the comfort zone.

Mr. Sanjeev Sanyal- Economist and Author

He is widely regarded as one of Asia's leading economists and was Deutsche Bank's Global Strategist and a Managing Director till 2015. he was named "Young Global Leader 2010" by the World Economic Forum at Davos.



Prof. VM Chariar- Professor, IIT Delhi

Dr Vijayaraghavan M Chariar is an Associate Professor at the Centre for Rural Development and Technology, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He is a joint Faculty at IIT Delhi's National Resource Centre for Value Education in Engineering where he delivers courses and workshops on “Wisdom-based Leadership” for professionals and institutions. Dr Chariar's research interests are Design for Sustainability, Traditional Knowledge Systems, Ecological Sanitation and Wisdom-based Leadership.
